Bagged leaves and clippings are fine to load in — the container isn't restricted to loose material, just to yard-generated organic debris rather than general household trash.

What Can't Go In — Yard Waste Has Its Own Rules

A yard waste container follows a different prohibited-materials list than our other dumpsters. Treated or pressure-treated wood (old deck boards, treated fence posts), plastic planters and pots, fertilizers, chemicals, and bagged household trash are not allowed in a yard waste container — even though some of those might be fine in a general construction or junk removal box.

The reason is the yard waste stream is kept separate for disposal purposes, so contamination with treated wood, chemicals, or household garbage causes real problems downstream. If your cleanup includes any of those items, set them aside and we can talk through the right container for them separately.

Seasonal Yard Cleanups Around Manchester

Spring is a heavy season for yard waste containers — "mud season," roughly March through April, is when frost heaves and thawing ground show up on NH roads, and it's also when winter's accumulated branches and dead growth finally get cleared out.
